In the Car

Mainly MacKenzie

MacKenzie still seems to dominate.  I see my churchmouse snuck into one, and the cats were fondly remembered in another.  What about Ms. T and her driving talents ?

Back Scratching

Most times that I take MacKenzie for a walk, she finds some spot where she drops down and ecstatically enjoys rolling over and over and twisting and scratching her back.  I like the way this cartoon captures those moments.

Relationships

I'm not completely obsessed with cats and dogs; sometimes the human experience tweeks the pen of the cartoonist:

Two MacKenzie Cartoons

As I adjust to having a dog, especially on the weekend when I was dog-sitting, MacKenzie seems to be at the centre of my mind and my cartooning.  Sometimes she's on her own and sometimes she is on the couch, but who is couunseling whom I don't know.  MacKenzie has an ol' "pinkie blanket" which is a comfort to her, but as she curls up beside me I wonder if I'm replacing it at times.

The couch

Frequently the couch seems to be the setting for my cartoons.  The next two show MacKenzie and me on the couch in the living room.  It is both a comfort and the psychologist's chair.  Sometimes she is the counsellor and I am the patient; sometimes, the other way round.  MacKenzie and I frequently change places. (Anytime I leave, she moves to the warmed up spot.)

Boxes

I am about to move. A nephew, his wife and three girls will take over the house for ten months or so. As a result,  there are numerous boxes around.  They offer a bit of play for the cats, but both Babe and Samm sense that something is going on,

Two More Olympic Events:

Using the yard stick (metre stick), Sam will try to pole vault over the ironing board.  Not to be outdone, Babe will use the Fosbury flop to go over the high bar (metre stick on chairs) in the high jump.  I think she can get her feet over but the tail may cause a problem.

More Olympic Events

These two events proved exciting.
The hurdles was extremely close, but the relay didn't go as planned.
The Baton exchange was more a tussle.

Celebrations

On august 19th, approximately 27 people had lunch together at the Port Pub in Port williams.  In part it was to celebrate that a significant number of the group turned 80 this year.  They, their partners and friends had a great time together.  Within the group, however, were four people who had attended kindergarten together 75 years ago in 1938.  This cartoon recognizes that achievement - that they graduated :) and they've been good friends for a long time.

More Cat Olympic Sports

           The Dripping Tap Drinking Event

Below is the Synchronized Cat Walk.  A few points were lost as their tails weren't quite in line.

Two Favorites

Two favourites, posted recently on Facebook, but missed in my Blog.  Here they are:

Best of the Week ?

Almost a week has passed since I posted cartoons; yet, I draw one or more most days.  Lets a pic two or three recent ones: I see I need to do some cat ones, or maybe I've missed them in posting.

Tassel and Ms. T.

A picture of two chairs, one with a cushion, suggested an interesting cartoon; going over the mountain daily, from the shore to the valley and back, suggested another; and my 80th birthday provided another car cartoon.
